I enjoyed reading this poem very much. I commend the poet's initiative in using her creativity to liven up the Christmas story, thus making it more delightful to read. Another great lesson in the poem is the reward for diligent and faithful service.kudos.

Hello adewpearl! I loved this! It told such a beautiful story and is so original in progression and idea. The rhythm and rhyme were extremely well done, and it flowed wonderfully. It was a delight to read, specially after my mince pie binge (they always make me feel so Christmassy) :)

This is a beautiful tale! You should try to publish this as a children's story. I could totally see that. Good artwork chosen. I also enjoyed the use of symbolism to tell this story. Excellent job as always!

HI Booke!~ This is an interesting and original approach to a holiday poem. Well presented with apt artwork and nicely timed verses that convey the story with befitting imagery, tone and pace.
Then only critique I would offer is that a couple of the rhymes are cliche, though that is absolutely okay, especially in a poem that has enough originality in the content, as yours certainly does.
Love/above, is one of the most sued rhyming pair. I have used it myself. I think every poet does this at least once.
Very nice write. Enjoyed it.
Warm Regards,

oh, yeah, I know about the rhymes - I was worried about creating the story and just threw up my hands and said - hey, I can't have everything! LOL Thanks so much, Brooke

Hello Brooke,
This is a lovely Christmas poem and shows the reader that obedience to God reaps rewards. I like that the Fairy held a meager position, but because of her faithfulness, she was rewarded. The Holly and Ivy were such a wonderful addition, as well as your notes.

This is quite remarkable -
a story in a poem, so cleverly
thoughtout, Brooke. It has a
smooth flow with the rhyme on
2nd and 4th lines to each verse.
A real pleasure to review.
Regards,
Margaret.

An adorable holiday tale with the twist of a fairy added in! Maybe they didn't have a word for fairy back then, and angel was the only one that suited; I have always thought fairies were cuter and far supreme, even though both have wings. I also like the creative touch of putting the holly and ivy significance in. This was a tight, well-constructed story-in-a-poem that would delight any child or grandchild. I enjoyed it!
