On its own it seems less than impacting...reading what came before gives it a warmth and hearth and home feel that completes the word painting...
Important, I remind myself, to set it in context!--Karenina

Hola, Marival, I loved this, yes, indeed it is calm as a lullaby can be. I loved the whole concept and I will have to add to this chapter. Thank you so much for this initiative. Un abrazo. Ulla:)))

Oh yes it is. I just love the warmth (physically and mentally) that a dog gives. A dog is therapeutic for us, providing lullabies that ears enjoy.
Great usage of minimalism. This was a delight to read.

I was wondering how you were going to connect to the previous haiku. The sound of a pet's deep breathing can be quite relaxing - sweet lullaby of contentment. Well done.

I really like the thread going on here, as well as Mark's Chapter 59 that follows this posting of yours. Peace, comfort, safety, and trust all connect...especially in a close and beautiful relationship that is to be nourished and appreciated. :-)

Thank you for giving us the context for this couplet and adding the black and white print accent. I liked your equating the dog's "heartbeat and breath" to a comforting "lullaby". Smiles- Joan

Gypsy, your 7/7 couplet follows very well the previous Lisa Wharton poem. Your lines inspired by another poet writing must be challenging. For sure, something to try...

Great follow-up to the previous haiku of home life. And then yours echoes the soothing nature of the loyal dog's sleeping presence. Your book is getting great participation!

Such a lovely way of showing the soothing effects of body contact with the loved ones (be it human or pet). I love that you called it 'lullaby'! Beautiful, sensitive writing!
