This is really beautiful. Like crystal and sugar. The correlation between wining and divining is interesting. You can take that and run with it. Remember when Joseph had his divination cup put into Benjamin's sack? What a kerfluffal that was! I suppose that he would use wine in the divination cup. Who knows?
The photo is pretty.
I went and read all the submissions to this book. Each one is so different! And well written, every one.
So glad to have the opportunity to participate with such greatness.

Yes, that was a kerfuffle - but a cleverly planned one. It made me wonder, if Joseph really wanted to keep Benjamin and would have let all the brothers go. He really didn't like Simeon. Hooray for Judah who offered himself just like his descendant Jesus offered Himself to save us. Thanks for reviewing so deeply for my two lines! Hugs!

I don't think so. Because he was a prophet, and could see so far into the future, and knew that they all needed to stay together. he definitely was able to see the big picture!

True, the Lord gave Joseph gifts. But I'm sure it took a lot of faith while waiting in prison until the cup bearer remembered Joseph.

Thank you for adding to Gypsy Blue Rose's Renga book. I appreciated your linking to the previous stanza. I do not drink alcohol but admired your focus on nature's winemaking process. Cheers--literally! -Joan

I don't drink more than sip here and there. But I thought it would fit after Bill's poem. Thanks for reviewing, Joan! Hugs!

I like how you nudges the metaphor into actual wine, giving the continuance a new spin and a penetrating insight! Ha ha!

Well done. Finely presented. Fine phonics, especially the assonance of hard I in divining and wine.

Warmly, rd

Ah, and what a summation to the summer wine, Helen.

Divining truth from love's lips definitely adds a new dimension to a fascinating renga.

Sun sweetened and Love's lips - truth and wine. This is A nice extension to this poetic prompt. I am enjoying the words as much as the photographs. Nicely penned.

A very well-written 7-7 poem about the product of ripe grapes that cannot be eaten before it start to fit us wine that we like to drink before our meals with a loved one for a romantic dinner.

Dear Helen Thank you so much for explaining in such detail the rules and purpose of this Renga. I had already had to write a couple of reviews just guessing at what was happening.

I bet she asked you to write that description and the rules, because she knew you were good at doing things like that.
You must have been on the phone with her for hours to get it right.

No, she didn't ask and we couldn't talk long because she's so heavily medicated. I just wanted to do something to reassure her that her nieces and nephew will always remember her. 💞
