I was certainly drawn in by the watercolor painting your son, Jeremiah, painted. Yes, pair more often with him. My favorite stanza is the last one, "but for a moment I knew the spirit of a hummingbird". Gorgeous line!

I believe the heartfelt thoughts come across, but the reading of it seemed a bit disjointed. It did not flow easily, causing the reader to lose the storyline.

I watch for hummingbirds but rarely see them even though I kept a feeder for years. Finally gave up after only seeing one and he was not going to my feeder. Your poem is a lovely tribute and your son's picture sets the stage for your words. Nicely done.

Loved your poem AND your son's amazing painting. I was able to connect well with your poem, because I love hummingbirds. There are so many in the flowers outside my home, every day I watch them "dancing" while collecting the nectar. Thank you for bringing a smile on my face.
