I don't have any answers but the world is certainly in a mess at the moment. We need a few statesmen who aren't in politics just for their own purposes but for the good of their country and its citizens.

Could not agree with you more. And my thinking suggests most of today's leaders are in it for themselves and not for their countries.

The author's words are engaging, strong, clear and creative. This
poem has a great message. The words of this poem stated it clearly
for me, we need harmony! The message if something is not working
try something else. Great poem!

Your kind words are very much appreciated. Thank you for stopping by and commenting on my poem.

You're so right; anger isn't working. It's behind vandalism, arson, looting,
injuries, and arrests--none of which is doing one tiny thing to give human beings a better HEART. Your poem is well-written, to-the-point, and timely.

Thank you Janice. What a pity the world no longer has a statesman like Obama leading the US. I believe Barrack would never have allowed the situation we're now facing to develop.

Thank you Amanda. Let's all hope November elections bring the change our entire world needs.

I think you and I will agree wholeheartedly my fiend, I only went to two union meetings in my working, but I witnessed what "mob mentality was like, and henceforth never ran with them, I have a set of beliefs born of experience, and for some reason, have fought my baser emotions, not liking them. Beautifully written friend Bob, there's no moral high ground, the judges are as wicked as the instigators, and if anyone has ideals among them, it's swallowed up by those that don't, beautifully written in exactly. Great, smooth, articulate stanzas and good abcb rhyming, blessings, Roy

We agree 100%. We can only hope the November elections bring the change the entire world needs. Polling though suggests he is still in front. God help us all if he gets a second term.

Hello, Bob,
You tackled a big problem. I am not sure who can fix the problem or if it can be fixed fast but I listened to Biden's speach and he sounds like a kind and honest man willing to help heal our nation. The sorry excuse of president we have in the White House is not helping, he is making it worse. The photo up at the church was shameful.
Well done my friend.

Let's hope sanity prevails come November. Personally, I don't think the world can afford another four years with Donald in charge. Thank you for taking the time to review my work.

Amen to that, Bob! I just wrote a short piece on this as well. First, the pandemic and now this. I think there surely can be improvements made, but the atrocities need to end.

In Australia we've had severe drought and savage bushfires ravage our country in the last year. But personally I fear none of these have the potential to bring as destruction as another four years of this man in the White House.

I know what our mean! We can only hope for a change.

A very well-written poem about the people who want to fix a wrong with more wrong things they are doing mostly with innocent people who have nothing to do with the first wrong, it is a vicious cycle that will get no one anywhere but in hell.

Sandra, I agree with your comment. Let's hope the American election in November can correct one of the more obvious wrongs.

So true, Bob. We need to use a lot of love to erase all this anger. The riots only add to the problem. The violence is organized and is being used to escalate the unrest. Well done my friend. Nancy:)

And the love needs to come from the very top but I fear the only true love he understands is of self. Let's hope the November elections bring about the first change our world needs.

I'm with you, Bill. November affords us chance to begin rebuilding. There is no one silver bullet. We're far too tribalized right now. A new leader won't change that over night. But expelling Trump's toxic, arrogant attitudes is a necessary first step. Let's hope we take it.
Peace, Lee

Lee, you are correct. November does provide the chance to change. According to political polls though, if they can be believed there will however be no change. And I'm not sure if this world can afford another four years with the present incumbent of the White House. I think your use of the word 'toxic' is most apt.
