This is a heartwarming, obviously autobiographical, story of Molly, your beloved doorstop, her near loss, and the ingenious solution to accomplish her resurrection. She surely will bring years of happiness to your lives.

Isn't there any way Miss Molly Mouse can be repaired. I bet she can. I have often repaired things that we dear to me. May not look as good but the item is still am important part of our family. I don't look as good as I did 30 years ago. LOL Thank you for sharing your wonderful story/poem.

This is so sweet. Molly has been a good mouse, and I know you'll miss her. This poem goes to show how difficult is to part with some of our "treasures" even though they're past their prime. It's amazing you had the door stopper this long. This is a charming poem, with excellent rhyme and flow, and it definitely strikes a chord to anyone who has things they hate to part with. judi

Thanks Dolly I believe the lady who gave it to me actually made it herself which was even more special. I am just so sorry I have not been able to make contact with them again as they went to New Zealand.
