This sounds like a very sad story and I am so sorry that you have suffered so much from these issues and having lack of family support can be the cause of mental health issues and spiralling down like you did must have been difficult. I hope you are in a better place now and have some self esteem, I shall vote for you, love Dolly x

Nice entry and I got why you chose the black background, but you need to increase at least the font because it's hard to read and it's a pity because it's an excellent entry for the contest.

Wow - an awesome collection of quatrains that follows a life-long journey of anguish and conflict... but a wonderful ending of hope! :) A great offering for the contest - thank you for sharing and best of luck! ;)

This poem is an excellent entry for the Mental Health contest. It paints a clear picture of the contradictions and difficulties that the afflicted individual is confronted with when he/she attempts to find their place in the world.

Powerful writing and your personal notes make it even more powerful. Congratulations to you and thank God for his healing power! I like that very unique picture.
I like that phrase, "Minotaurs maze."

Comment from Marjon van Bruggen
It is a good poem, and, as you said in your post-script, it already says pretty much about you.
But it also says much about your mental status at the moment. And that seems to me rather stable. Otherwise, this quarantine business could be fatal again and put you in a vulnerable position. Without work with colleagues, Church activities, and social life, thrown upon yourself, you lead a too lonely life to be healthy. Use your writing abilities in a therapeutic way, and keep safe!

This poem gives a simple account of your life, your struggles, your suffering from ailments, state of mental health, and state of wealth, how you have been a published poet; well said, well done.

An interesting poem that balances descriptive language with a narrative. There is lots of sorrow and hurt that comes through in this - which can't have been easy - I hope writing it down brings some comfort.

This does sound like life has been extremely difficult for you, but it seems that you have come through it in flying colours. Writing is therapeutic and it also helps us to figure things out in our mind. Good for you for your successes.
