A very well-written Nonet about the child within of us that will always be with us and in times of difficulty will come forth to show us the childlike view of our troubles.

I'm not familiar with the nonet form. So I'm not sure if you have done that right. But I did enjoy this because I am a fan of psychology as well. I work with kids too. Great job!

Of course the mind of child sees the world so differently to an adult, it is a really scary place and all children need to feel secure, loved and nurtured, A fine poem, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Your well-constructed nonet poem describes your interest in the role of nature/nurture in a child's development. As I am an adopted child, this area has fascinated me for years. Luckily I had wonderful nurture from my adoptive parents. When I met my devious and unkind birth mother I was so relieved I had had the benefit of their nurture as role models to counteract what might have become my nature.

Comment from Cindy Decker
Dovemarie, I studied a little psychology, and while I think they're both important, I think nurture wins in shaping a child's life. Love and compassion, I believe, heal all wounds and make us better people. I'm glad you brought this subject around in your lovely poem. Excellent work. Good luck in the contest. Blessings

Hi, Cindy, I agree with you about nurture. A nurturing, loving, caring environment is the best of all. Thanks for your review, compliments, and good luck wishes. Donna (Dove)

Your nonet is well-written and very descriptive, conveying a message about the importance of developing and then employing a varied set of child-rearing skills.

I enjoyed your nonet, Dove. The art pairs nicely with your informative words. There is a good message in your poem. Bravo for you for following this path. I believe your second line has 9 syllables--not 8. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jan
