Hello Bicpen I liked your 3-5-3 so much I bookcased and fanned you lol. I read quite a few of yours, but seems I'm always on my way somewhere when I see them ... smiles
I wonder in this current one about that word "main". Should it be mane or main. Each word would throw around the meaning a bit but would work. I love this format and what you've created with it. Well done you.

Comment from Gloria ....
This sounds like a perfect entry into the even the odds contest, author. Your subject perfect to the seasons changing hands. I love the line Winter's tail brushes spring's first born. So visual and vivid.
A fine entry into this contest and best of luck to you in the booth. :)

I love what you've done with this even-the-odds poem, making the shorn lion's main the stuff that paves the way for spring, and saying the lamb's tail is strong. Well done.

Brilliant idea on your part to fit the changing of seasons into the requirements for this contest! Cleverly done and well written all round!
One query...is it supposed to be 'main' or 'mane'?

This Even-Odd poem, Seasons Tale, follows the syllabic format and brings the blustery season from the harsh gales to the gentle breezes of the glowing spring. Nice.

A very well-written even the odds poem about the struggle between the lion's roar/winter's grip and the lamb's soft and determined ways to take control of the season when it's their time to reign.

I like how you described the changing of the seasons as power swapping hands. I never thought of it that way. I also liked the line " Winter's tail brushes spring's first born,
its main now shorn casts equinox alight." It suggests winter embraces the change. It's a beautiful poem. Good luck in the contest.

-Nice artwork and
presentation.
-A well written poem
with the correct syllable
count, and very good synonyms.
-I like the personification of
power in the beginning.
-I like the theme of new
birth at spring, represented
by the lamb.
-A couple of small things:
Winters tail [Winter's]
springs first born [spring's]
it's main [its]
-Good luck in the contest.

I think that you wrote an awesome poem! I enjoy how the power changes as the seasons changes. Especially from winter to spring. It makes me feel as seasons change, life can change. The first born represents for me a new start in life. Amazing poem!
