Lady and the big ticking out a songš???i quite like this story, is funny and easy going, and promotes happiness across the insect realm. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your next story.

Glad you enjoyed this Iza!
I love writing these so I limit it to just one every month or two.

OH yes now I have a question for you, when and why do you use Annie for your pieces? Just curious to know, and thank you

In my stories in the very beginning it just popped in my head to have a narrator?.
I didn't want to just write it and present it I wanted feedback along the way so I picked Annie!
And I wanted to add a sort of Western twang to it.
thinking of my friend here Charlie Lucas the Western novelist she doesn't write anymore.
Thanks,
Ricky

What a funny fairy tale between Ticky the Tick and Lady the Bug! And I can't believe that you gave me a cameo part at the end -- just as you said -- in your story, I was crying, just the way I sometimes do when I read your poems. I am very touched and mightily flattered. I have seen my name numerous times as an author, but never before in anyone else's story. Thank you so much, Ricky, this is a singular honor! Your friend, Mary Kay

That's a wonderful specialty, indeed. Hopefully if we begin in life with good parents (and I thank God that I did - good grandparents, too), that is what we all start out reading when we are very small! I learned it from an early age, to love the printed word.
