A very well-written hundred word flash-fiction about your daily routine. We seem to do the things we do every day automatically without giving it a second thought.

Thank you so much for your review and great rating. Thank you.

This one hundred word essay, A Day in the Life, is possible to write since you reduce your career to some computer time, your home life as eating and sleeping, and your relationships to the simple priorities of your dogs and then your wife. Retirement will mean more dog time. :)

LOL, yes, more dog time. It a sense, 100 words does not give justice to my career but I guess it provides a bit of information about myself, such as I am married, working, and own a couple dogs. :) Thank you so much for your review and great rating. I appreciate it.

I'm sure it was difficult putting an entire day using only 100 words, but you did it and quite well! Good luck with the contest!
"Keep right on writing!"
Have a great day!

Hello mystery writer. That really is a concise statement of what a day consists of for you. It is well stated and written in a way that is entertaining. The one item that caught my mind is the fact that you indicated this is your last year of this, and then it is over. From someone who has been there, done that; you won't believe how much your days will change. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you so much for your review and great rating. I have pondered several times what it might be like when retired. Will I become lazy or so active I'll feel busier than when at work. Thanks again.

You're welcome

-Good image for your story.
-The opening paragraph is good.
-Congratulations on the upcoming
retirement; it sounds like you
are ready for it with that
commute and meetings, alone!
-The end of your day
sounds relaxing, and I am
sure you need it!
-Good luck in the contest.

Good luck with this entry. With a schedule like you describe how do you find time to write. You sound like the proverbial man in a rat race.

"Proverbial man in a rat race"? Is that a good thing or a bad thing? LOL. Thank you so much for your review and great rating. Time for writing is pretty slim really. I rejoined the group about 3 months ago and this week has been the first time I've found time to write.

Depending upon your POV the rat race can be either. Glad to have you back of FS.

Your life does indeed remind the reader of a hamster's on a tread wheel. I do not envy you that commute each day and I never dealt well with meetings. I am glad this will end for you in a year. Thanks for giving us a glimpse of your life. Rod

Thank you so much for your review and good rating. Yes, at this point in my career it has become boring. I have been doing this type of work for 26 years. It was a lot more exciting back in the day.

I think this is a good entry for the "A Typical Day" writing prompt.
This story of a day in the life of a working man waiting for retirement is well told.
Well done and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you so much for your review and kind words. The task was a little more difficult than I anticipated. I can get pretty "wordy" if you know what I mean. Limited to 100 words was a challenge. Funny thing is, in real life people say I am "wordy" too.

Great job with this creative writing that puts your typical day into 100 words. It's a sad fact of life that most of our lives are so repetitious that it is hard not to get depressed. Oh well, press on with some more hamster food.

Thank you Bill for your review and kind words. You know, back in the day this job was very exciting. At this point I've pretty much seen it all and things are a bit boring. And with some of the new technology coming out, I think I am picking a good time to leave the show. Have a great day.
