Hello mystery writer. As I read your poem I sensed a feeling of confession and repentance. The Bible talks about stewardship of believers and it's interesting in your third paragraph you focused on that. Good luck in the contest.

It seems that you're not alone as far as the pity party thing goes. Many of us have wasted His time with these. Thank God that He's patient with us. Thanks for sharing this well written offering. Well done!

I found the bit where you were handing gifts back because you didn't use them really interesting. It is so true - I think we have an obligation to use our talents, in whatever shape or form or quantity they are.
I like your conversational approach to God - as it should be if he is the close friend we know him to be.

Oh, I hear this prayer, that sense of wanting someone else's gifts, or feeling ours are unimportant or lacking in some way. I pray wit you for joy in your service!

I think this is a good entry for the 'Dear God' writing prompt.
Your letter to God is one that many of us would repeat.
We waste the gifts we have and lament the ones we don't.
Well done and good luck with the contest.

This is actually a prayer of gratitude from a person who has endured a bad time thanks to the power of prayer, and came out on top after it was all over. Good luck in the contest.

This is a wonderful letter to God, my friend. The part about doing for others rather than using the gifts He has given us strikes home with me. For the first time in my life, I don't feel responsible for anyone else. I try to be kind and helpful of course. Best wishes in the contest~Debbie

This was a nice read. I liked the honesty in it where nothing was held back and hopefully the deity appreciates it. Well written. Good luck in the contest.
