A nice little story for this post of fantasy creatures. I think I need a brownie (broony) around my house. Ironing is a chore I never cared too much for. Image is great and your story well done. Marilyn

The story was humorous and made me smile. I appreciated the added description as I was not familiar with brownies before and it was really nice to learn about a new magical creature. I wish I had them at my place - I would leave them all the honey they could possibly want in exchange for their help!

How can I get a hold of one? If I do have one already, he's not doing his job properly!! This poor Drombel was cheated out of his sandwich, he wont be doing the ironing again, that's for sure! LOL. Well done, I enjoyed your lovely poem. :) Sandra xxx

LOL!! :) Thanx for your review on the Arindle and Drombel -- it's always a challenge to tell a story in such limited wordcount, but when you tell me it HAS to be fantasy....oh, yeah - THAT I can do!! ;) ;) Take care! ;) Yvette

Geesh, I need a whole houseful of Brownies to get done what needs doin' around here, Yvette.
Heh-heh-heh.
Believe me when I tell you this; I have no Brownies helping out with household chores around here, that's for certain!
I gotta hand it to ya, I've read, studied and written about a myriad of mythical creatures in my day.
But this is the very first time I've ever heard of a Brownie.
Nice work, as usual!

I put out the honey and the cream, my brownie must be on strike. Know my luck though what would show up would be a pubescent girl in a brown dress with a beanie. (Do they still have Brownies any more or Girl Scouts?

Honestly, the things that must go in and through your mind to come up with these creatures and their ensuring stories. You do such a terrific job with it, but as for me, I'd just soon let sleeping dogs lie. Like Alice was told by Tweedle Dee and his brother. Dare we awaken the sleeping giant? Thank you for this creative post, Yvette. Loren

Please, Pretty Lady... May I have one? Or a couple... I wouldn't want one to be lonely. :) :) :) Lord knows I could use the help around here! I could use a garden Brownie, a house Brownie... how about a reviewing Brownie? LOL Someone to get the tedious duckets for my bucket so I can put the next chapter of Aurora and Alicia up today... way up high... it's a big reveal chapter! Closing in on the end! Reveal chapters happening all around now! LOL I figured one chapter at least deserves to be posted up there in the sky zone, why not this one. :)

Which comes first?... the brownie or the reward? Are they there already or will they come if there is a reward waiting? Maybe the chores aren't getting done at my place because I did not know about these little guys and did not put a treat out for them. Oh, now I feel bad for not doing the right thing by them...
A sweet poem giving an insight into a magical world and its personalities. You write very entertainingly with humour tucked in among the jiggly bits.

Hey, this is familiar (your notes)! Thank you for a most charming addition to forgotten stories. I can't (for the life of me) remember where or when I heard about these little creatures, but I have, and your story seems perfect, the characters just as I would imagine!
