Dear Ricky, I felt so sorry for the wing-less honey bee, her disability, and I was stunned when she looked into the blue waters and prayed for a friend like herself, but then she froze to death as Winter came on, yet finally a miracle happened and she found someone "to be with the rest of her life." Glad you did so much enjoy this as I so much and joy not only writing it and having to pass away but coming back to life the title The wingless honey bee and the Firefly was intentional but the thought of a firefly rescuing a soon-to-be-dead insect with his own body heat is just a chance thing.

Hello Ricky: that is an interesting story about a wingless honeybee. Moving down the page I read the line, "Bee-Leave-It or Not." I thought that was a very good line. I would replace the question mark with a period there. It seems like your are making a statement rather than asking a question. I liked the resolution of the story and overall thought it was very good. -Robert-

Beautiful story, Ricky. Any child or adult could enjoy this story. I did, particularly the ending.
I think you are missing a word in your title. Based upon your story contents, I believe the word is "Firefly". Please revisit your title.
Thank you for sharing your story, Ricky.

Awww ... what a delightfully sweet story! I was a little sad when she froze BUT you restored my faith in happy endings by alluding to her ultimate resurrection. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

I think this story has captured the mind in what is a very good and original love story. I have suggestions that I would like to offer. The beginning starting with "Once Upon a Time... And in a place far away..." could be changed as this has been used numerous times in children's stories. I would begin with something more original. Also, I wouldn't have the bee die, just maybe near death as children readers who may have lost a family member would wonder why their family member couldn't come back to life like the bee. Depending on the age of the reader, death of a main character could be quite an intense experience, especially for the very young reader. I also think this story would do very well as a book--have the two lovers go on adventures together. I really enjoyed reading this original short story and would like to see it continue.
