This poem Swear to God has a very positive message that we should all heed give thanks for everynew day. If this isn't a faith poetry contest entry it should be. Very nice job.

Such a very unique take on that phrase that has definitely lost its true connotation in the overuse in our daily language... Nothing without the one to whom you swear... great job! ;) ;) Yvette

An interesting take on "swearing". Each and every time I read the word, I felt a twinge of my mom telling me no, no, no it's not okay to swear. Even at church, I remember my pastor telling me as a child that swearing is taking the name of God in vain. But, here you've used it in every positive way relating to a loving, caring, compassionate God. Thanks for helping me grow up and out, swearing can be used for good as well. :) Nice job, enjoyed reading this piece.
