I am loving the sentiments here in your sonnet, but your meter is out on many of these lines and needs adjustment. The stress is required on the second syllable for iambic pentameter, love Dolly x

Thanks for the honest and helpful review Dolly. I read lots of sonnets to try and figure that de dum de dum meter. I have been avoiding sonnets for this very reason, but want to get it right. Cheers, judester

If you are unsure of where the stress is within a word there is a useful site called ?How Many Syllables,? I use it when I am in doubt and this will help you to compose your sonnets, best of luck, love Dolly x

The photo looks like Marilyn Monroe but I'm not sure as that era of film stars all were so perfectly gorgeous living masterpieces as you put it. But years later, we see the hidden horrors that these famous stars faced.
Good theme expressed in sonnet theme. I think you have the 10 syllables spot on but not all the lines are iambic.
