We all have to just stop being and listen from time to time, keeps us sane. Love the message you written here, the rain, the storms, the son-shine, all very vivid and clear. Well done, I really enjoyed reading this.

What a peaceful, calming poem, despite the stormy subject. I especially like "God will speak in storms if I just listen."
In the last line of stanza 3, consider using "I am" instead of "I'm." It parallels "I can" in the previous line and adds balance. Just a thought.
In stanza 4, consider using a comma instead of a period after "divine." This (to me, anyway) will suggest that wisdom comes from His heart to mine.
Nicely done. I like the way this poem breathes.

Comment from Shirley E Kennedy
A very devout spiritual poem with effective use of repetition to add depth of meaning to the concept of Gods abiding love and continued presence in our lives on Earth.
The comparison of the trials and tribulations of life to a storm or tempest we must live through is profound and powerful .

Tina, this is so very, very beautiful and comforting. We all have to weather storms, and I love how you poetically painted a picture of this and how you described the joy and comfort of listening to the whispers of God as He helps us to grow with the storm.
Beautiful presentation. Love the artwork you chose.
I enjoyed this poem tremendously. Thank you for sharing :)

Hi Tina, This is an eloquent and stormy poem that makes me wonder just which neck of the woods you hail from! You know, it used to be that a person could tell from a comment, like the ones in your poem, where a person was from by what the weather was doing at a particular place in the country. However, the weather has been kind of a 'B' all over the entire country lately so I'm not making any assumptions anymore! ;)

I live in Virginia where many jokingly call our weather, "bipolar." It will literally snow one day, rain the next, ice storm the next, sunny and warm the next, etc. Virginia has trouble changing gears, like an old car!
I appreciate your review and personal input on this poem!
Blessings,
Tina

Ha! You think Virginia is fickle? You should try New England, where the motto is, "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes."
-
Now that is funny!
Please oh please write
a poem about that so
I can have a good laugh!
Comment from Gloria ....
You've done a great job with your poem of faith and the metaphorical storm works well in delivering the trials and tribulations our lives involve among all the roses.
A most enjoyable read and many thanks for sharing.

Wisdom does indeed come with trials and storms but with the Lord's help, we can weather those storms and grow because of them.
Very nicely done.

Lessons can be learned for every painful experience...Rain may fall, but Rainbows can appear...Faith without works, is like no Faith at all...We are not promised that trouble, and difficult times wouldn't come to us, but we are promised, by a loving God, He will never leave us alone...We have only to believe
Thanks for sharing this with us...Blessings.
Warmly,
Victoria.

This is powerful and so true. God takes the rains and grows the most beautiful garden in our life...without those storms and the resilience we get from them we'd be too weak to grow, to flourish, to love
Well well done
God bless
