If this is how you're making us all yearn desparately for the sun Aiona you're doing a good job of it! Love the picture from your sailboat... I didn't recognize the names of the islands so I'll look and see just where you are! :)

I'm in Anacortes, Washington. The islands in the picture are northeast of me. Saddlebag is named because it looks like a saddlebag. I'm told there are wildlflowers there that ONLY bloom in May, and when you walk in them, the smell of perfume wafts up from them, as you walk.

LOve the one line poem for the contest. You kept it to one line and yet still added a moral to the whole piece. Yes we have to adjust our 'sails' once in a while according to what the wind brings

Thank you, Barb. Sometimes I wish the wind would steady a little. These past two years have felt like a constant storm. I'm a little tired, but still sailing. I hope your journey is going fine too!

Hi Aiona,
Ha ha ha! This is a great monostich and a super contest entry. You've said so much in just a few words -- great truth here. I like the image and color scheme you've selected, as they complement your short poem very nicely. I don't see anything that I could suggest you consider improving upon. Best of luck in the competition and thanks for sharing your work. Jan :-)
