This 5-7-5, Chorus, has the right set up and brings us into the swamp to hear the rain predictors throaty warning of the coming precipitation. Nice.

A fascinating description of a natural occurrence in this 5-7-5 formatted poem. That big Bull Frog is as good as any weather person. A very Nice photo of the fellow.

Shirley, This is a very well written short poem about the frogs croaking and maybe signaling rain on the way. I hope it is for you there. Our youngest son just got home from visiting Australia. He loved it and had plenty of nice pictures. love and blessings, Teri

Yes, and it is right, we have the rain quite a while in SF, very annoying for the elderly to move around. I think all animals know ahead of us how and what the temperatures were going to be or rain, or too hot. It's amazing how they know that. I am so intrigued to know how they find out. Terry.

    Hi Terry,
    Thanks for your review.
Nature is so fascinating and more and more of our questions are being answered.
We can now also see so much in beautifully created documentaries.

This is true the frogs are louder. In Kentucky when you are outside you can hear them. It is always worse before the rain. This was very good. I like your poem. Your artwork was good too.

    Hi Christine,
    Thank you.
Frogs definitely have a rain radar feature.
It has been so terribly hot and dry this year I feel they, like the rest of us, are desperate from some respite.

Absolutely LOVE my frog choruses that sing here in the call for rain and, in the Spring, simply for the call of the evening! :) So your write has a special place to me -- wonderful job and thank you so much for sharing them with everyone! ;)

Hi,

What a lovely tribute to this great creature. (One of Mother Nature's "other kids." - lol

I like the image you chose to give us a real visual to go along with your great verse.

I don't see anything amiss here to suggest that any revision is up for your consideration.

Thank you for sharing your work with us!

Thank you for a lovely review.
There is always something calming about a green frog chorus.
The lovely specimen in the image I posted lived for quite some time in the hollow of an
old tree stump and came up to the top to sup and bathe in the gentle rain showers.

    Hi Shirley,

    You are most welcome.

Thanks for sharing about that sweet creature's life. Really interesting. And great for you - I'll bet you'd watch for him to come out and sit in the rain... :-) (I sure would!)

We'd moved some years ago from Chicago to Asheville in the NC mountains. One evening I stepped out of the apartment and there on the opposite exterior wall was a tree climbing frog sitting high up on the wall. (I thought I was losing my mind - never saw such a thing.) We have so many wonderful species to admire, don't we? :-)
