This was a painful read ago know an animal was so cruelly treated and your wise words toward the end is a lesson to all of us, I enjoyed your heartfelt story, a very touching write, love Dolly x

You wrote a whopper of a poem. I can see this fleabag of a cat with this line "Maybe on the surface there wasn't a lot worth seeing. / To this, there's probably not much disagreeing." Yet, beauty is only skin deep and you made me feel sorry about the cat that only wanted to be loved. :( This is a good entry for the Share A Story in a Poem contest.
