This 5-7-5 addressing genius, Fool, has the correct set up and points out that genius typically comes with humility. Calling oneself an alpha male, jock, or trail blazer is also a sign that one rarely passes a mirror.

An excellent 5-7-5 ... pure genius.
Love the accompanying artwork. Fits your poem perfectly.
I think the key here is: genius is 'God-granted', but the narcissist, I'm sure, will take all the credit, flaunting and holding over us dumber beings their intellectual brilliance.
This is a great contest entry! I wish you the very, very best!!

Thanks much for your read and your comments. Much appreciated. Unfortunately, other readers did not have the same opinion, but that's okay. Everyone is entitled. It's the creative process that is important.

So, basically, you're calling yourself a "fool" by claiming you have the insight to point out that you can discern the foolish from the wise. Interesting.

Not exactly. One is a fool who claims he is superior to others when his genius is the result of a God-given gift. The genius may be accurate, but to brag is a fault. Thanks for the read and the comments.

Your analysis is not completely accurate, but I don't want to discuss this topic any further. Still, it amazes me as to how much people feel they know more than others on this site. Good luck with your writing and observations.

Okay, thanks.

You have made effective use of every syllable in this commentary
on genius--and boasting. The Bible has many relevant comments
about boasting--many warnings!
