Sometimes holding someone and telling them you love them is the best you can do. Your poem is lovely and heartfelt, and very moving, and your rhymes all work well and help convey your feelings of sorrow and helplessness.

A wonderful write with the PERFECT message for just the situation described in the prompt: to support one who is grieving, we should always hold them and love them. We cannot experience pain the way they do, our heart does not feel the way theirs does, our mind does not comprehend the loss the way theirs does....it is our joy and our privilege to simply love them through it all! :) ;) Thanx for that wonderful message today! :) Good luck in the contest -- seems you just may have my vote! :)
