This one made me smile, what an undercover job that would be. Great internal rhyming in the first line Craig, whether it be adjective or adverb it works well. Great photo,
cheers,

Thanks, Valda. I don't think I'd be keen to take it on. Cheers, Craig

Very cute. Also, educational! Thank you for the author notes. Great idea to pull ideas (and new vocab) from your book. What a great way to push yourself and to motivate in a unique manner. I starting reviewing tonight from the bottom of the list. I love to do that at times. Some of the best stuff is there and yours is one of them. Great job and good luck! Creative! (and I learned a new word, which I will no doubt forget within the hour!)

Keep starting from the bottom Wendy, that's where my stuff usually is lol
I'm very grateful for the lovely comments.

LMAO You are bloody HILARIOUS Craig and there can be no mistaking your thinly veiled non-umbratical humour. Unfortunately that seems to be one of the shittier aspects of police work...the disguises, back breaking positions for hours on end...and instead of the odd person taking the piss out of you, it's every second mutt taking a piss all over you haha
I look forward to broadening my vocabulary, metronomics and general way of looking at life when I read your brilliant work. Thank you for enriching me in a non-monetary fashion (alright, member bucks) but I feel just as wealthy haha You have indeed so far provided me with many giggles and LOL moments.

Thanks once again, Phillippa. You know just what to say to make a guy's efforts feel appreciated :) Where are your contributions to the mirth and mayhem of Fanstory these past couple of weeks? Oh I know... busy, busy... job interviews and such. Geesh, where ARE your priorities? :) Exceptionally grateful, Cheers, Craig

This is humorous and I love the image. I agree that the undercover cop would surely not enjoy his assignment of a fire hydrant. New word--"umbratical." It is amusing to note a dog's favorite places to pee. When I take my dog into the woods, it fascinates me how many times she can leave a few drops in so many places. Marilyn

Yes, they like to leave no doubt they've been there! Thanks so much, Marilyn, for the great review. Craig

Lol. That's too cruel to make that an undercover policeman's post. I would imagine he could do better dressed as the water inspector. The hydrant is a rather unpractical umbratical disguise.

You didn't watch enough "Get Smart" as a kid, Helen :) Many thanks, Craig.

Lol. I guess I didn't get the reference. I always liked Agent 99.

Craig, This is another good word that I have not heart before I do believe. You used very good descriptive words and adorable art work for the imagery. It was very cute! I enjoyed reading and reviewing this. Blessings, Teri

Of course they're undercover cops and now you went and blew their cow. Pffft. Craig!
I much enjoyed this delightful treat on a rainy day afternoon.

Blew their cow? I had to Google that, and the results weren't pretty! Many thanks, Gloria :)

Hi, Craig,
Thank you for sharing this latest word. Great picture and wonderfully whimsical poem. Yes, I can imagine that being a hydrant as an undercover cop would be horribly humiliating.
Well done,
~MP~

AaaaaaaaaHAHAHAHAHA!
Now that IS quite impractical,
for hydrants cannot talk.
(Some say that I'm didactical,
but kitty-cats can walk.)
So sit you there, and mouth your piece,
for fires are hot and cruel,
and though you might be motionless,
you're still a useful tool.

Haha, well thank you for a good afternoon laugh :) If you'd ever watched Get Smart as a kid, you'd know as well as I do, fire hydrants can so talk, and undercover operatives can squeeze into almost anything ;-) Muchas gracias, Dawn.

:)) Get Smart. LOL. Now on another topic, I just sent you a message on FB to watch a short video...:))

I like the personification of the fire hydrant as an undercover cop, Craig. Good job on the great rhymes and smooth flow of lines. Your picture is a perfect pairing of your words + picture. I could 'hear' this cop speaking your words. Good job and thanks for sharing. Jan
