Hi Bill. This is sad. That bear deserved to live not Rick and Dicklas. I would like to see them eaten by that bear. People do not generally eat bear meat. Maybe they do. But bears are rare. People are too many. Most bears are killed for their gall bladders. The rest of the bear's lifeless body is left to the vultures and scavengers. I am not criticizing your poem. It was good. Thank you for sharing

That wasn't very fair. They should nave allowed the bear a time out. Funny poem, and you got your rhyme in. Something extra for an acrostic. I've heard that in some states bear are a protected species. Maybe Rick and Dicklas got into trouble for their deed. judi

Oh look, a bear using a rock as a surf board. Or do my eyes deceive me? Maybe this is a museum exhibit. Bear made extinct by excellent shooters who took advantage of a bear who was perfectly posed for the very best shot.

This might be the second or third Bear poem I've seen now... and I've liked each one I've read! This acrostic is so quaint... four lines, humorous but dark at the same time, good rhyme and rhythm. Nicely done, Bill!!!
