Wow! You are blessed with luck to win and good sense to pre-set the amount. Some poor people can't seem to know when to quit and I don't think I've ever been in a casino but I hear the food is good.
That's scary that someone would steal your fuel! But you are so positive that you found good things to like about every place. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Helen for your great review and kind comments. The food in a casino was great, but very pricey, so much as changed with the virus. I figure I can stew about it or just let it go, but once burned I learn my lesson. My truck doors have been locked ever since. (big smile). Hugs

Thank you Anne for reading, reviewing and your keen eye, I will make the fix in a moment. I am so glad that you are enjoying it and that you are indeed awake (smile). Your loving sister Alie.

The differences between British English and American English never cease to amaze me. It can make for awkward misunderstandings at time. Your campground is what we in Britain would term a campsite and your site (space for a camper, tent or caravan [trailer]) is what we term a 'pitch', presumably from the idea of pitching a tent.
This was an eye-opener for me as I used to avoid camp sites if I could. I used my camper for work as a traffic ssurveyor so that was rough camping or parked in laybyes alongside the stretch of road we were surveying. The other use it got mainly was attending festivals where my late partner used to read the tarot, and I was her general dogsbody.
A most informative and enjoyable read.

Thank you for reading, reviewing and your kind comments. I liked that you explained the differences of one side of the great pond to the other. I think being a traffic surveyor would be interesting. I am sure your late partner was an amazing person.

The job was a bore simply counting and categorizing the vehicles that passed. But it kept the wolf from the door. Rosemary, my late partner, she died this last July was an amazingly accurate medium and clairvoyant. She suffered a massive stroke on Christmas Eve 2014 from which she never really recovered.

My condolences. I know what you mean about keeping the wolf from the door, we have all been there. I like to think we learned from it and became better because of it. I think I would have like to meet her. (smile)

People will steal anything, even if they have to siphon it. Sounds like a great way to haul a camper, with a giant diesel rig. Sure beats a car, which would surely suffer from low mileage and be more expensive in the end. :)

Thank you for reading, reviewing and your kind comments Phyllis. The only problem was the first few times we filled it with diesel, it was around $500.00 but the distance between fill ups was amazing.

I'm chuckling at the last line.
I'm not lucky when it comes to gambling. I've only tried the nickel and dime machines on cruise ships.
Siphoning thirty gallons--Bet the thief took off the minute he finished. How trusting you were.
Glad to see you put the dialogue in to break up the narration.
The difference in accents throughout the states make travel more interesting, I think.

Thank you for reading, reviewing and your kind comments, I am so glad you enjoyed it. We think it was someone in the park, since a lot of the trucks used diesel and the sites were literally on top of each other. We had been in other parks and never had a problem. It was a wow moment.

A very enjoyable write, Alie. Glad you got a locking gas cap. That's awful that someone would steal your fuel. I believe what goes around comes around, so they will pay for it one way or the other. I like Oklahoma, too. Lots of tornadoes, though, as you mentioned before. When I drove across the country in 2015, tornadoes were right behind us the whole time. Luckily we beat the storms. Marilyn

Wow, Alie. Good story about the hazards that happens to RVers. I glad to hear "We now have lockable caps on both tanks." Gas is Gold, take care of it. :) Hey Alie, are you fans of Y. M. Rogers? Yvette? She got your life on a 150 Words. Thank you for sharing your love.

RVing can be fun and my friend belongs to an RVing club where they meet and greet and have fun. They go for coffee and food and chat and camp out together each year meeting new folks along the way.

I was surprised about the fee for electricity. It's been awhile since we caravaned, so in not sure, but it was normally included in the site fee. There's not really a great state rivalry in Australia so we never had trouble while traveling interstate, so we didn't have much trouble, well dine, good article, blessings, Roy

Thank you for reading, reviewing and your kind observant comments. I did not realize you were from the land down under, I have met on line several people from there. Here in the USA, I think it becomes every state for itself. They all have their own rules and regulations.

That's me, Aussie through and through, travel by recreation vehicle is very strong, great diversification here. Pleas come.

Years ago I had thought about it.

I find the notion of RVing interesting. We don't have an RV or the funds to do it. However, it does sound like fun! I found several things that might need to be fixed:
This sentence, "We saw one guy try it, (instead of once..."
We saw once guy try it, he was in Oklahoma and from Florida.
Then this sentence I think is missing the word I in between Did mention. Also unless you talked about Casinos in a different piece of writing that I missed. You didn't say anything about Casinos until this sentence. I give you 4 stars only because of the corrections that need to be fixed. Love reading your stuff!
Katy
Did mention that there were casinos?
