It wouldn't let me post three lines so I am trying again.
I wish I would have copied the first three lines as I usually say it best the first time around. I relate quite well to your poem and like the way you ended it. Thanks for sharing.

This is such a sad story written by you, on behalf of your husband. It is unbelievable how much sorrow anyone can bear. Your husband has had more than his share. You tell his story very well. Lovely ending -
My soul found the answer
I still walk daily with the pain
But now my Savior walks with me. ..... Warm regards and Good Luck to your husband - Warm regards Dorothy x

Dorothy, thank you for your kind words. Yes, my husband and I have gone through a lot but still, we stand together by the grace of God.

Wow this is incredible...........the last stanza got me though, "My soul found the answer
I still walk daily with the pain
But now my Savior walks with me". Amazing. I think you are going to do well in the contest!

Hi Jo--
I'm going to six this despite not "agreeing" with it though that's not the point. You ask very hard questions here in the opening of your poem about why these things have happened to...you, or to those you love. There are answers possible to those questions that do not require the leap or or submission to "Faith," or that is my opinion. The poem is just extremely powerful and hard to take up until the end.
I am glad you have found a way to deal with the pain.
Best
Jeff

What a beautiful story of love, loss, and finding faith. Your husband's story is so heartwrenching with tremendous losses. Yet it ends with an inspiring message of hope and salvation. I love it. Good luck in the contest.

Made me cry. Perfect title for your poem. This is why compassion is so important. You never know by just looking at someone how much sorrow they have endured. This is why I always leave a tip in a restaurant even if my service is bad because I don't know what is happening in that person's life that caused them not to focus on their job. Good luck with the contest.

Aww, little sister, I'm sorry it made you cry. It made me cry, too. Thanks again for the stars. Love you

Oh my goodness. This poem made me cry. Truly heart wrenching. I could relate to it so much. I have recently lost a husband to suicide, a fiance to cancer, and just found out my 33 year old daughter has inoperable cancer of her brain stem. I often wonder "why", but know that all is in God's hands. He gives me the peace I need to keep going, and without Him, I'm not sure how I would cope. Prayers for you and yours.

A very well-written poem about sorrows that has no earthly cure. The only one that can give us true happiness and peace in our hearts is Jesus Christ our Savior that walks with us every day.

"Sorrow", is an exceptionally well-written and spiritually-up-lifting piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. You KEEP WRITING and I'll KEEP READING. I look forward to seeing your next post. To me, this is a six, but unfortunately I only have fives left.
