Only a tarheel would say winter is a relief. Admittedly, it gets warm in Georgia, too.
Yep, the trees look like they are frozen at attention when winter breezes through. Excellent poem.

Winter is sure the commander of all seasons. It dominates the rest of the seasons, then it is gone and it comes back again, and so on. It feels like the army, but it's the seasons. Also, winter commands us to stay inside our homes, because it's real cold. Thanks for sharing this! Good luck in the contest!
