Hi Yvonne. I missed reading and reviewing this one, but since have corresponded with you and know about your surgery. Speedy recovery, I hope. Nicely composed. Marilyn

Thank you for introducing me to the Alouette form and letting us know about your surgery. I hope it went smoothly and your recovery is speedy, with your being able to type with two hands soon. I appreciated your rhymes and positive attitude. Best wishes- Joan

Thank you for a lovely review, Joan. Sorry I'm so long in replying. Still recovering. Worst surgery I've ever had.

I am sorry your recovery is taking so long. Take good care of yourself- Joan

This poem sure sets up your consternation with having your shoulder replacement surgery well. Your main concern seems to be not writing. Now's the time to practice toe typing.

Toe typing. Now why didn't I think of that?

Damommy,
I do hope all is well with you. I had hip replacement a year and a half ago. It was a breeze. I was injured severely in a fall about 6 years ago. Altered my life.. best wishes for a speedy recovery..

Well good luck with your shoulder replacement and what I imagine will be a lot of physiotherapy afterwards.
Despite the fact your tummy is tied in knots you've done well with your informative Alouette poem, I wish you well Yvonne,
cheers,
valda

Hi Yvonne, First of all good luck with your new shoulder. I hope everything goes well and I'll be looking out for writing when you're back. I will miss your lovely poems meanwhile, though. I would say that 'thoughts' and 'knots' is a slanting rhyme. As usual you've penned a wonderful poem. I have no six left as it does deserve. Hugs and I hope for a speedy recuperation. Ulla:)))

Well, your blank mind did a remarkable rendering of this Alouette. I will use it as my inspiration when I attempt this form of poetry. As it is now Saturday I presume your new shoulder is now in place. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Hi Damommy, Very well written poem in a style unfamiliar to me. Good rhyme with a good touch of humour, despite the subject LOL. Good luck with the operation - hope all goes well, as I'm sure it will. I've not heard of anyone getting this kind of operation - it's usually hips or knees, LOL! 'Bye for now and warm regards Dorothy x

Excellent job. I like in the first verse your stomach is tied in knots. Quickly in the second verse we find out why. And the conclusion is great, referencing your connection to Fan Story. This is some major surgery. Hope everything goes well for you. Don't worry about getting back to me if it is too difficult. Just get better and keep submitting!

What makes you believe they throw away old shoulders, Yvonne?
Theres a lively market for them, and Alpo is gobbling them up.
Don't you think you deserve a piece of the action?
Anyway, good luck with the surgery, and hurry back. (It should be a lot easier then to shoulder your responsibilities.)
Oh, nice, informative poem, Yvonne.

Thanks for this delightful review! Gave me a laugh.

Welcome back,Yvonne! I hope your new part is working well, and they improved on that stingy standard 30-day return policy. I think getting a new one probably would be an inconvenience.
Good luck,
Don

I'd ask for double my money back.

That would be a terrific deal, good for two more free replacements!
