You should have entered this in a contest. A great 5-7-5.

The colored fonts really reinforce your words about changing colors.

Ha, very good, Bill. But what does that last line say? It seems to blend in awfully well as the white on white. lol

Excellent and so true.

Dear Bill, now this subject should be fun. A friend had a chameleon which escaped and sat on a print cushion along side its cage for days before it was discovered. It sure looked funny all pink and grey and mauve, but when it opened its mouth we could see it quite clearly. Poor little thing ,it was really glad to get back under its nice warm lamp. Well have fun with the chameleons Bill. When are we going to get some frogs? cheers Cass

Thanks, Cass. Frogs will have to be four or five critters away.

A clever write and I had the pleasure of holding one in the Dominican Republic, loving your coloured write, the coat of many colours! Best wishes, Love Dolly x

How appropriate that you use different colors for your wording. You have your 5-7-5 syllable count down correctly. Blending in anywhere--that sounds like a suspect in a mystery story. He is able to elude the police because he just blends in with the crowd so easily. Maybe he puts on a disguise. You never write about any creatures that I like. judi

Hi Bill, a fitting poem about the chameleon that fits in everywhere. A very apt describtion of a disturbed person. I liked it alot. Very well written 3-7-5. All the best. Ulla:))

Some lucky people are very much like that. Blessed with such social skills that they could make a new friend in an empty room. Not to brag that very thing has been said of yours truly. I have rarely met someone I could not charm and get along with, leaving them with a positive impression. It is a skill I worked hard and long to develop.

Do you remember when little chameleons were sold as souvenirs at the circus? I had several and enjoyed watching their changing camouflage as they blended in with their surroundings. Thanks for the flashback, Bill.

Nice 5-7-5 and good choice of presentation. The photo chosen fits the topic aptly and your syllable count is exact. I've seen a chameleon at a zoo years ago. Made me itch when it change color. lol! I think it was a psychological reaction rather than a physical one. Imagine if humans had this capability... lol!

Thanks, Larissa, for giving this a look. We can typically assign this image to the sociopath, who wishes to be everything to everyone.
