These four lines tell us a simple truth. Life is fleeting and we must live it to the fullest. Congrats on placing second in the contest and on becoming the recongnized writer.

I remember reading this the other day and thinking how good it was. I've been away for most of the past week and only intermittently in internet coverage, so didn't do very much reviewing. Many congratulations on your well-deserved placing in the contest.

How do you do this--write such a short piece with so many rules, and have me re reading it? Once I see it, yes it's simple; but those exact words totally describe mankind's fate. The picture really is a great visual accompaniment to your verbalization.

    To let you in on my secret, I write, then re-write, then edit, and then...start all over again! :)
    These short pieces are really challenging for me because I am far too long-winded! But they are rewarding when I finish them...That is, until I go back and start the process all over! :)

Excellent short poem-few words but volumes said. Very thoughtful and descriptive with great word choice. A rare little gem for one so short.

As we all come from star dust so resembles our demise. But where does to sole begin and end - some feel for the exists in your poem or so it seems. You say a lot with few words - I like that.

In my opinion, a profound write in its succinct and relevant simplicity - an eventual occurrence that encompasses all humanity, whether by cremation or natural events - fully compliant with the prompt. Best of luck in the contest...

Life can be cut short so it's important to live how we want we want to live and how we want to be remembered. In the end we are all just ashes in the wind. You did a great job
