The idea that a small organism facing and adapting to circumstances and meeting the challenges of its environment is a prime creative effort. Great idea, Bill.

This is the second post I've read from you today. I'm lucky. To be honest, I did not catch the connection to Spidey until I read your notes. Now it's only half-clear. But I grant you this, Bill - if you taught your students with the same creative prowess you display on FS, I bet there are some smart kids out there grateful for the education. Or they're knocking off liquor stores and creating mayhem. Thanks again, for the story and the education.

Hi Bill since when did you get interested in biology and even think of flushing down self-important germ masquerading as President of the United States.

I actually received an Associates degree in Science before my BA and MATL. As far as the flushing, I just decided to conclude quickly. Thank you, Gert, for reviewing. Bill

Hahahaha, you're killing me Bill. This is just too funny. Where the heck do you get it from?
the Rhinovirus, and Electrauma, a small, self-important germ masquerading as President of the United States.
Oh My, this made me laugh out so loud, I'm still laughing as I write this. All best. Ulla:))

This is a glorious and imaginative work of art. I loved the line about that bacteria masquerading as USA president, like now. Your writing is well researched - I suppose -- though I wouldnt know an amoeba from an octopus. Congrats, john

HAHAHAHA - OMG, I have not the smallest clue as to what I just read - okay, I lied. The Petri dish and President gave me a SMALL clue...(how's that for alliteration, hm? LOL) Poor, ol' president...

You're welcome - now if I kept up with the younger set, I might recognize some of what I read... (HAHAHA!) (Way to go, teach!)

There have many good horror stories about things that got flushed, and found new ranges in the drain and erupted megabad. This year's flu seems wicked enough.
Excellent story.

One almost needs a degree in science or medicine to read ...that is...until the part about the donald (I can't call him the 'P' word). I loved it. It made me laugh.

Great name for your amoeba. She is doomed for misfortune, being bitten by a radioactive bacteria. That's really bad. Clever that she was able to overcome such fierce foes as the Rhinovirus and Electrauma, masquerading as President of the U.S. Again, a clever name. Did this gallant amoeba end up being emptied into the toilet too? Clever story. judi

Alas, all Petri dishes don't lead to Stan Lee's cranium.
Very imaginative, Bill. I was hoping you'd uncovered a vaccine
for a certain imposter, but . . .
Still, most things flushed reappear. There may be hope yet.
Peace, Lee
