I love the pun on the closing - fishing for fish as well as for deeper thoughts. Clever metaphor! Well voiced in true to form style, and also with good word economy and a fine presentation. Superb consonance of S and soft C
Perfect. No nits. Good luck!

I love the artwork you choose to go with your poem
it is a perfect match
It put a smile on my face so early in the morning for I thought of my departed one who love to fish . He loved surf fishing.

The pursuit of of peace is the only way I can understand this sport but you have expressed it here very adequately and withing the rules of the cinquain form.

Thanks for your review Pantygynt. I enjoy calm water fishing as I find it quite meditative. Different story on taking it off the hook though. Having said that I haven?t had a fish for a long while now. ~DD

Wonderful photo to compliment your poem. From one fisherwoman to another fisherman - I loved your cinquain. Fishing is so relaxing and exciting when you get a bite. I grew up in a fishing family. Good luck in the contest! XX

Thank you so much K. I loved reading your review, receiving your six stars and learning of your appreciation for fishing. I grew up fishing with family as a kid and do find it therapeutic when I get a chance to fish - moments few and far between. ~DDxox

I think you have captured the satisfaction that people derive from fishing here in this short work.
I could never understand the appeal of sitting for long periods of time waiting for a fish. But of course for some there is a particular serenity in just sitting quietly

Hi Freda, thank you for taking the time to review my Cinquain poem. I do like to fish in still waters - very meditative. Much more fun than watching the cricket : -) ~DD

Hi DD, This is a six but I'm all out. You capture fishing to a tee this is exactly what it is like when fishing Loved the' nylon thread held in pensive thought' as you do think of many things waiting for that tug on the line. Well done I hope you do well it deserves too, a great cinquain and meets all requirements Good luck Cheers Christine

"Hooked" what a beautiful title describing this man as he fishes. Words are clear and precise and tell the tale of how he catches his dinner. Poem is short, sweet, and to the point. truly, liberty justice

A very well-written Cinquain. An exciting way to spend great time in nature. While relaxing we can catch ourselves a nutritious dinner while enjoy a very good time.

Yep there's a LOT riding on that little piece of string haha
I loved the splash this made but also the enduring patience and dare I say it...baited breath with which this was cast.
Well done girl!

Love your review P. Thank you for giving me your last six too. I was lucky to fish that one out of you as others had already given up their haul too. I enjoyed your play on words - entertained me hook, line and sinker (not sure if that made any sense in my sentence but I'm using it!). ~DDxox
