It is way overdue that's for sure. As long as politicians are spending money like mad fiends on stupid stuff (shrimp on treadmills) etc., they don't give a darn. The other day the bill passed the house. Let's see what the Senate does. Marilyn

Now it's deficeit spending looming, since no one wants to pay income taxes. That means more interest payments to whoever owns us and the need for a war to write off all negative spending.

I think the problem lies in careless spending. We've got to watch the store. If politicians were paying out of their own funds, you would see a tight rein on the piggy bank. We need 2 terms limits for politicians. Two and you are OUT. Go back home and earn a living like the rest of us. Our founding fathers never meant for politics to be a lifetime job feeding at the public trough. They are a bunch of spoiled brats.

I've been hearing a lot about tax reform but stopped short of listening to all the ifs. I'm in retirement and will not benefit if I work. So what I understand is the middle class will not benefit but the super rich will. In this administration, we all have to wait until all the talk is over. No one knows what to expect. Good luck in the contest.

Republicans are selling trickle down economics again. So far, the corporations that get all the money spread it around to investors and board members. The trickle down we get is piss (but they'll tell us it's raining).

Yes, that's what they're saying.

Good morning again, Bill: This post was a sight for sore eyes, this morning. As we get closer to tax time again, I am missing the good old days. I used to welcome my tax check now-a-days, I don't even look forward to the day. I did enjoy this post though. It is great for wishful thinking. (lol)

Great picture It is six words, that complements your poem very well. It is certainly six words. I count words easier than syllables:) You think April fifteenth. Tax reform..fiction. Is this about the UK or the States? Best wishes for the contest.

Federal income taxes are due by April 15 every year in the United States

Ain't it the sad, sad, sordid truth, Bill?
There's about as much chance of our government being able to come to an agreement on the tax reform proposals as there is for me hitting the Mega Millions Lotto.
I don't play the Lotto numbers...
Good stuff!

Fortunately, the President's 500 'pay through' companies will get a 15% drop in tax, saving him from having to hide or lie about fifty million dollars, or so, a year.
Comment from Gloria ....
Holy Crow. I thought for a second there I was having a deja vu momento as in the six word poetry contest just ending. BUT I see this is an entirely new one. It seems they are the things one can't escape just like taxes. This is a most clever contest entry, plus even better it aligns with the future.
Best of luck in the contest.

Hahaha definitely a fictional predicition my friend. We have the same problem here.
When pigs in a trough run the country, they are too busy eating from it to look after the actual people.
I mean, pulllleeeze. LOL
Great poem mate.
Your stuff is always excellent fodder to chew over.

The only tax related reform that we will see on April 15th, is that my income will be reformed into a much smaller amount. No matter what BS comes out of the nation's capitol, no one in this administration give one damn about the common man. They are very much interested in your money and how they can separate you from as much of it as they possibly can.
