Good morning, Brett:
Oh how you have me anticipating on the edge of my seat to know where that
"ting-a-ling, ting -a - ling" is coming from. I wonder who could be there cause the bells to ring. It could be the wind. (lol) I will soon see because as soon as you post it I will read it.
This is really a very interesting story, very well written and told, very nicely done. Your details are thorough and show your expertise.

If little Drew Larsen killed his family and confessed to raping his sister, along with wrecking each room, he embodies the Tasmanian Devil--in a figure of speech. Detective Darden is fighting to wrap his head around the problem.

Glad you enjoyed this portion of chapter five.
Your insights appear right on target, perhaps he is the Tasmanian Devil.
In the Bugs Bunny cartoons of yonder year, I liked the Tasmanian Devil. He was hysterical.

I did not understand the last room and the signifience it represented as Drew's room.
This whole piece is excellently written and fills us with the feeling we need to understand the next coming chapters

A superb chapter that doesn't leave much to the imagination. Now, the question arises about cults. Perhaps the whole family was involved.

Glad you enjoyed this portion of chapter four.
The whole family being involved in a cult would make an interesting angle.

Hum are the cases related in some bizarre way? Was the other case solved? If not why? I don't think the boy was in his right mind when this took place what do you think?

A very vivid look at the crime scene, the light from the torch adding to the horror of it all.
No clues as to why Drew would murder this seemingly ordinary people.
May I ask what the
Ting-a-ling! Ting-a-ling!
signifies in the text.

This is excellent and still moves at a fast pace, Brett.
My only confession is that I'd missed the continuation
I enjoyed it and found it entertaining. No spags that I could detect. The plot continued to race and is sprinkled with a variety of intriguing situations.
The pace of the story - which is what impresses me most in it - is still great. And that air of mystery remains intact too. I find myself eager to find out what will happen next, if not what is happening anyway.

A very well-written chapter describing the murder scene and the emotions that GI through the detective's mind. A mysterious bell ringing while he goes through the house.

Good, gruesome read again mate. Getting more and more exciting. You have us expecting someone to jump out at any time. One suggestion. and a couple (of)cardboard boxes stacked on a wooden shelf.
