A fine poem, Bill, that reminds me of slothful art and also of sloths painting. Your cinquain is imaginative and well balanced. The center three lines bind your poem together with imagery and makes a playful allusion to sloths cleaning their fur of paint. Yes, it takes time to do that, too.
Thank you for sharing your imaginative poem.

Slathered is a great word to use here. I can imaging the sloth painting the canvas with its body. No small job to clean up afterward. Like the vibrant colors in the illustration. Marilyn

Oh boy, an accidental creative genius. I swear, some of the futuristic, expressionist stuff that passes for art look pretty much to me like somebody just splashed some paint on a canvas and spread it all around while hoping for the best.

This poem made me smile. It is a neat piece of artwork. A rare talent in such a concise form. I can just imagine the sloth with rainbow paint getting cleaned up after painting its masterpiece .

Nice artwork that complements your poem perfectly. It is one of a series. I liked the last sentence best: lost art. It is truly a Cinquain.

A very well-written Cinquain. The art of a sloth is beautiful but it takes a long time to complete. That is why it is very valuable it is a shame that this beautiful artwork is lost.

You never know what an animal is capable of. I know this is funny, but it has a big of realism.
I have a painting done by an elephant, and it is a perfect silhouette of an elephant.

That would be amazing. Thus is a painting done by a human, who is now probably upset that I used it to write a poem about sloths.

I don't know why she would be. People are funny, though. Not funny ha-ha, either.
