You almost had me until I realized that it was a painting and not a photograph. The image is very arresting an the thought that I have regarding is that if someone would actually change a horse's natural man color like that with dyes or something, then maybe they should be arrested.

Lol. I've even seen shampoo for people using the word "mane" so I think your pun uses a well associated thing. What I don't understand is the purple, green etc colors.
