A clear indication that our society is getting dumber and dumber with each succeeding generation. Soon we are going to have a major portion of our society dumb as hell and no will have the slightest idea of why or how.

A true and interesting observation that is surprisingly accurate. It's rather sad this disappears along with cursive writing. Some things should not be replaced, I think.

It surprised me when seniors in high school couldn't tell time on a clock face.

Luckily we have taught our kids to read a clock face, unfortunately this digital world we live in is taking over though.
A great little poem, bringing another thing that we don't think about enough up!

I had a senior in class looking at his Iphone. I asked him to stop and he said he was just checking the time. I pointed out the clock on the wall. He couldn't tell time on that type of clock. I later found that many found it difficult and therefore stupid.

You have penned an excellent poem that speaks the truth.
'Most kids can't tell clock face time'- It's true, and some adults can't either. That's why so many prefer the digital.

I had that discussion a few years back with a class when the term "got your six" came up. Also the title "Twelve O'clock High" was mentioned. The reference to a face clock was lost on many.
