Nicely written and composed, like a resume... though now retired from full-time, and know it all brought mostly good memories, most likely?....Oh, see, you worked with war Vets,. Oh, my family are all vets, practically, though, not me...husband, retired Navy (USN) & twin sons ( one 100% VA disabled, with TBI & PDST, Afghan vet though happily married now & blessed me with a grandson a few yrs ago...they did. Though, unexpected surprise for both, cause his wife already had two teens & army said my son, medically. Couldn't have a kid)my only daughter served awhile, though not for too long, medically discharged & dad served & fought in WW2...And they were all in the US Army and if dad did';t make it home, from that historical war... almost didn't... I wouldn't be here...or my older sister...My eldest sis came before dad left, & she is like your sis, almost 10 yrs my senior... Also, hubby visited Australia, before he married me in 1972, with his ship, I think, USS Juneau,LPD-10, maybe around 1970....And still works after all these years, unfortunately brings me way too many chocolate bars from Nestle, where he keeps those candy machines a humming...though, probably will retire next year..being he got really sick 11/'16...though better, but takes Lots of necessary RX meds.
Thanks for sharing, & letting us know & wondering if you still are an organist?...Caressa_08

Enjoyed reading about your years of employment. Sounds like you experienced many different kinds of work. I'm sure you were a good worker, and was missed when you left the work force.

I have decided I lead a very boring life and need to do something exciting. I am pretty sure my life work doesn't merit anything like the ones I've read to include yours. I am truly enjoying this.

Thanks Barbara. Mastery is good as is Smurfgirlsasha I think we all got the idea for this from both of theirs.

Numbers (math) and music go hand-in-hand so it doesn't surprise me to see that you are musical and have worked in jobs where you dealt with money/taxes (numbers). Very interesting summation of your work.

Hi Heidi, not sure we have met before. I love that comparison with numbers. The first time I learned about that was in a movie (for kids I think) called 'Donald in Mathemagical Land" as you have stated drawing the close relationship between Music and Numbers. I would love to get a hold of that movie sometime it is probably around on DVD these days. Thanks for the great review.

My, oh my Dr Sankey how busy have you been. In comparison I have been a veritable sloth! But then women weren't supposed to do any more than be a wife and mother, which I qualified for. Well written. Sincerely Anne.

Good onya mate. Thanks for coming by. Felt like I should join in with Smurfgirlsasha and Mastery in their aims to share their work lives. Anne noting from with being a housewife and Mum nothing slothful about those endeavours either. The idea that being 'just a housewife' is not more important than working outside the home, just so wrong. Kids brought up with Mum at home will turn out much better than kids who have been in Child Care Centres all their growing years. Getting off my soap box now, hehe.

An interesting article on some of the jobs that you have done over the years I think a lot of people have led interesting lives doing different jobs and I will be adding to the list that I have posted with some more stories and tales about some of them.

Well done Geoff, it's not easy revealing the intricacies of one's working life, you've had a varied and interesting working life, I remember when I was young, working in a government job was always considered secure work, well done, Bro. Blessings, Roy

Yes Government work was considered secure. I was glad I did some of that but also glad it was not my only employment over the years. I think you have read more in my book. Thanks for coming by. Lord Bless.

You've had an interesting job history and I don't know how you remembered the specific dates. I did good to remember the jobs and roughly how old I was.
