very good. yes animals love unconditionally. there is a saying that goes like this. lock your wife and your dog into a truck of car, see which one is happy to see you when you let them out later lol . Good luck on this and have a great day

A profound statement and probably one we could learn from. In spite of it feeling perhaps more like a quote we need to live by as to a poem (I am not sure 3 words constitutes a poem but I am no expert haha) I REALLY think it makes great impact and resonates with the reader.
If the meaning of poetry is to engage, enlighten and educate, then by crikey you've done it!

No truer words have I ever heard spoken (or written in this case), Anonymous Poet.
It chaffs me to no end when I tell someone, "Sorry, it's been fun. But I really gotta get home to my dog, Gidget. She hates being left all alone" To which they reply, "Oh, c'mon, man! It's just a dog!"
I just look at them and smile, then say. "No. She's much more than "just" a dog. She's my best friend and she loves me for who I am."
That usually does the trick, LOL.
Great little poem here with a powerful message.
