Congratulations on winning the Meaning of Life contest. You aced the rules of engagement with musical rhymes, exactly twelve lines (the maximum allowed), explaining the meaning of life. My favorite lines are "It's not birth or death but what's in the middle." Congratulations!

Excellent judester!
You wove all the "life is a journey"/ "what happens while making other plans"/ the "now" into the poem excellently as a the prelude to your answer the closed well with what often eludes us, " life as we make it".
Love the artwork as well.

Excellent job in the penning of this beautiful poem about the "Meaning of Life."
I believe we all should answer the questions in the middle, then we shall find the answer to the meaning of life. Excellent rhyming and meter and a very smooth flow, I just love your presentation especially the middle stanza. Thanks for sharing a most enjoyable read and the very best to you in the contest, Blessings.......Portia

Thanks for the insightful review. It is a riddle and I think the clue begins with gratefulness. Each individual is going to have a different experience, so maybe that is the meaning......Cheers, j

You have this right. We create our own meaning by our actions, preferably for the benefit of all we touch along the way. How we got here and how we depart pale in importance compared to "what's in the middle." Superb.

Very well put. I like the way you have presented this poem and the message it carries. The conclusive phrase at the end ... the meaning of you... sums it all up. Well done contest entry.

Beautifully well said. I like the simple short line style you used to convey your deep and worthwhile thoughts. "It's not birth or death but what's in the middle. "
Very well thought out.

nicely done on the meaning of life, it is what we make of it, long thought over by many, the meaning of life. to each of us I think it has its own meaning. good luck on this and have a great day.
