You've captured the feelings of spring rebirth with this lovely contest entry.
I particularly like the word 'hibernating' as our minds and bodies are often sluggish and grey by winters end, especially if it has been a cruel one.
The sun peaking through those early spring mornings is always welcoming.
Good luck in the contest : )

Thank you, Kazzawin, for this wonderful review for my poem. I'm so pleased you enjoyed it, and I truly appreciate your mentioning you liked the image in the word hibernating. Thank you for your kind words and response.

Yes, the ultimate catalyst in wakening from hibernation mode. Unfortunately here in Australia we are entering the winter months. It's a sad state of affairs as the beautiful flowers curl up, the days shorten and the tumultuous weather hits. Thank you for sharing.

What a great poem for coming out of an Indiana winter. In keeping with the requirement of the 5-7-5, you have perfectly captured the springtime after the thaw. Nicely done.

Exactly! This is excellent. That warm sun after a long winter does feel like it's bringing us back from a deep, long sleep, or maybe even a coma. (LOL) It's my favorite time of year, and your little gem describes the thaw. :))

Oh my, yes, there is something almost mystical about
Spring sunlight. . . the way it breaks Winter's hold on
us!!
Summer sun implores "luxuriate", but Springtime's sun
invigorates. . .begs us, "Please, come out and play" :-)
Nicely done Indi :-)

'feel of the spring sun.' Oh the visions these few words conjured up. Sunny carefree days, time to potter in the garden, time to walk along the beach and enjoy the sound of the ocean. Lazy warm afternoons sipping iced tea.
such a well written 5-7-5

It's nearly summer oh yeah! This is a super-sweet Haiku, using the traditional nature theme in a lovely way. How many of us feel the same, that when those first warm rays hit our faces, we uncoil and come alive again? I really like this.

Oh! How true.
Clever use of 14 words to deliver a gem.
As an Aussie embraced by autumn and beckoned
by winter this sounds so enticing.

The Japanese have a great way with words do you agree? Haiku poetry is one of my favorite to read, as well as write. You have (in my opinion) written a beautiful poem. I am real glad I reviewed it, and thank you for sharing. Write On! VaV-VOOM!

Oh yes indeed - is there a more revitalising time of year? - following our winter hibernation it takes the warmth of the 'spring sun ' to get us back into action again 'back to life'.
