I'm so glad that I'm back on line (long story!) and I'm able to catch up at last. As usual, you leave us hanging on to a cliff edge with our teeth, and I can't wait to read on. Great writing as always.

Hugs from France,

Alexis xxx

I'm behind on reviews, but catching up! Another good continuation to your story, Ulla! How odd that your aunt would phone at that time, just when you wanted her to. I really like the way you tell the story as if I was sitting with you and listening to you.

Well done.

Av

Oh, man, I wanted to know more than that. Hahaha ... This was a very interesting chapter. I want to know what happens with the lawyer. Are you rich? Mi amiga la rica que vive en Espana. LoL

Do you know this expression? LOL you probably do.

Great job! I enjoyed reading your chapter.

Another good continuation to your story. Can't wait to see what Ms. Faber does.

'It was well equipped with food and, while I tossed up a hearty salad, I stuck a loaf of bread in the oven to be heated up. ' You have two complete sentences with a dependent clause in the middle. The comma comes before the conjunction (For, and nor, but, or, yet, so).

Again, I sighed, and picked up the phone.' This is one sentence. No comma needed before and.

Take care,
Russell

Thanks so much, Russel, for this great review, and for your help. Only one thing I need to say is that I am confused. I get contradicting advise on those commas all the time. Really don't know what to do. All the best. Ulla:))

Hello Ulla,
It's a nice piece of Biographical Non-Fiction working as a link between the last part and the coming one.
Lovely phraseology going straight from the head to heart.
Smooth, captivating and nonstop flow from the beginning to the end.
Interesting, and beautifully leading to the next part!

Hi Ulla,

This is darned close to perfect, definitely worth a six. I like the pace, and the description. Dialogue is charming, believable, and deepens characterization. A whole loaf of bread? Seriously?? Lol, just kidding! She was definitely hungry!

Great job and write on,
Lana

Hi Ulla, I thought I'd missed some of your excellent biography, but then I remembered that you had been writing other things, this story continues to engage my interest every time you write my friend.

This is a very well paced story. I wish you well in that inheritance, having one of our own these days, or I might say, three years and counting. Your writing is precise and honest. Best wishes.

What a coincidence that Grethe called just when you were wishing you had her number! So, hopefully, the lawyers have cleaned up the mess and you will get your inheritance. :)
