Hello, missy, it's so hard to overcome the loss of a lover or husband. It has taken me years to let go of my exhusband but thanks to a new love I am finally 100% free from that asshole.

There is calm after the storm and the Sun will shine on you again, my friend. Hang in there.

Ah, do you live near the ocean? Where? I wrote by the ocean once, just north of Malibu. I love to be alone though, with just my thoughts and the sound of the wind and waves.
I do know the feeling of wishing for someone to be close with, however - it's sad and can eat away at you. I'd wish for you a feeling of peace in being alone in nature, if that's what the world provides in the moment :)

I live close to Mobile Bay and just beyond that is the Gulf of Mexico :)
It's beautiful, Carol. If you watched the movie, Forrest Gump...that is where I live. A lil small shrimping community.

Beautiful...I was right there at the sea. It is my favorite place where I feel at home. I have never been to the Gulf, but Sea of Cortez and Pacific. Nice little visual poem.

the reader a sense of peace and tranquility
until the end when we realize the speaker
is longing to share this beauty with her
love one, which adds a note of sadness.
