So good to check back in with you.

This is a great poem. Christianity in a nutshell. Sound theology. Teaching with out preaching.

Really nice read.

God bless and my best,
Relda

Lance, very well done. I like the red background color to
remind us Christ shed His blood for us. God gave us an
instruction book so we would know how to live and we
need to read it and realize His love for us.

There is no greater love than the live of God. No one on earth can offer you His love and give his son tp die for your sins. Only He can give you rest.

Come home... come home
ye who are weary
come hoooome

Softly and tenderly
Jesus is calling
Calling... O Sinner, come home

;)
that's what I thought when I saw you title.. I used to sing it in church
all the time. hymns which bring comfort... used to. ;) I guess they still
do, in the right setting.
anyway, now I will go read the poem. LOL Just wanted to write down what
your title made me think... ;)

Your poem speaks of salvation and redemption and a loving savior.
it speaks in simple terms so all can understand.
You say it well, and except for punctuation in this line:

My death gave(,) to all(,) redemption

I have no changes.

I think this is probably the most gentle religious poem I've read Lance, I thank you for that.

Love and laughter to you,
Cat

Absolutely beautiful! You have summed up Christ's love and shown that it is a free gift. Flows well with very nice abab rhyme and rhythm. Love the red flowing down the hill in the artwork.

Lance, it is such a blessing to know when we are weary and laden with cares, that we can take all this cares to Jesus and He will give us rest. Blessings, Patricia

Lance, your poem based on John 3:16, may well be what someone searching for purpose and/or deliverance needs today. You tell the who, what, and how of Christ's way of salvation for mankind.
