Excellent

You certainly demonstrate an appreciation of the tanka form here and your selection of detail create a vivid, romantic picture. The image of 'nestled', though nor particularly original does convey a protective reliant relationship. Furthermore, the caesura in the final line, gives extra force to the physical expression of the feelings the poem describes. I think, however, the key to the the effectiveness of this poem lies in its simplicity. There is little resonance to each line or word: it is what is says: a straightforward expression of the contentment of love. I wish you well in the competition.
