My current MD office is good about being on time and they start at 7a so I try to make appointments at that early hour, I am usually in and out. Your words are true to life, always bring a book.

Seven! OMG I can't rise that early any more unless it were for a very good reason as in catching a flight to Paris. :-)

Hey
I hate that, I do. i rush to be on time, park in expensice parking to save time...and then wait and wait. It is rude and disrespectful...and burns my hair roots...
so you caught the feel of this...I can only hope that Doctors like this have to wait two hours for their Tee time at the 'club'...

Ha,ha. Waiting for tee time. That's a riot. Thanks for the review.

Very aptly put! You have described a very prominent and persistent problem (like my alliteration?!) In just a few words you captured the cause and effect. As usual--thanks! Caroline

LOL! I needed a laugh this evening, and since it's been a while, I thought I'd log in here and see what giggles you might supply me with. Knew I could count on you to raise my spirits.

Always thrilled to see your name. Glad I didn't disappoint. :-)

It never seems to fail, does it, Shari? Your doctor's office will set a time for your appointment, you show up -- on time!-- and sit in the waiting room for what seems like an eternity to be seen. I wonder how much more efficient they'd be if the bill was docked ten bucks for each half an hour we were made to sit and wait passed the allotted appointment time? Probably much more efficient (or downright careless!) than they are now...

LOL. I've thought how ideal to take away money. Actually, my dermatologist froze some of my warts for free since I had to wait so long. :-)
Comment from Patti R.
This frustrates me more than just about anything else.
Hurry up - then wait!
I watch people in the waiting room frantically making calls on cell phones to postpone the rest of their mornings or afternoons. Before cell phones, we simply had to hope that those we kept waiting would be understanding.
Excellent 5-7-5, Spitfire!

I never thought of that! Unless I'm in really bad shape, I reschedule.

Hello Spitfire, Your frustration shines through in this poem. However, I did chuckle a wee bit at:
well, now I am too
(I chucked because my after-thought was:
Yeah, the world does like seeing Spitfire's behind - lol ... behind as in butt, and that's why I laughed. Hey, you never know who's checking you at. Big-teeth smile.)
A fun poem. LateBloomer
p.s. how was the doc's behind? just kidding ...

Have to give u a six, for this my husband is a physician and sometimes they wait 3 hrs for him, it is difficult because he wants to give full attention, so sorry it is inconvenient.

I'll forgive him the wait since you gave me an exceptional rating. :-) As for waiting, after forty minutes, I reschedule!
Lucky you to be married to a doctor.

ha, if he takes that long to see one patient, think how long it takes for us, {his family} to see him

Spitfire: I'm a little OCD and have to be a little early to whatever appointment I have. So, after all the anxiety of not wanting to be late, I arrive early and then have to wait and wait and wait. A four hour wait was my longest and that was waiting for someone else who waited for an appointment because I was their transportation! You have said it well in this perfect 5/7/5 poem. Linda

Ugh! Better you than me. Sometimes I skip out for a while to take a walk around the buildings. At least that way, I'm killing two birds...:-)

DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT - These stinking doctors have no consideration for their patients. Just got back on cholesterol med (wanted to give garlic pills a try). Dr. first said wants to see me every six months. Decided she liked three months better. I told her I'll see her in six.

Good for you! Doctor's love that extra money for visits.
