Very true and directly to the point. A well crafted aabb rhymed Poem about global warming and climate change. Wow, that picture says it all. Interesting event with the fruit bats. Hope you get some rain soon. We have lots of moisture here. Snow.

Thank you.
I appreciate your positive comments.
Yes, It has been many years since we have experienced temperatures
Over 40 degrees so close to the coast. The bats couldn't cope.
A very dry summer is also predicted.

How true, not just for Australia, I fear. I liked the succinctness of the words - they match the environment of Australian outback. Thank you for reminding us.

Interesting comment about the bats. My wife thought she saw a bat hanging from a power line dead I think on the way out somewhere. Might have just been a black shoe or something. I know being on the land you feel these conditions more severely. It was really hot here yesterday in Western Sydney. Great pom thanks for sharing. What about the snow in New York!

It sounds like you are having the same type of problems
we are here in California.
Interesting about the bats.
You did excellent in expressing the seasons that have become very strange.

Yes, I think the climate changes world wide are causing mayhem
globally.

This is a very interesting piece of work that the author has created with this post. The climate is getting even more predictable here as well. There are some mild days here, even if it is November, but they say Tha it is going T be a harsh winter.

Climate change has got man thinking
Warning lights for Earth are blinking
Our ways must change for all our sakes
Lest Earth should die for our mistakes.
WOW Shirley, that is a master piece, you have described nature with your most beautiful rhyming, giving the poem a singing read. The picture is amazing. Yes all over the world, something is happening, both good and bad. I wish I had a six. But you already know it does deserve it. Love Terry xoxo

Oh my goodness. Well you must know of what is going on in the states. Weather extremes now out "breaking news" news.
It all seems like one of those openings of the dooms day movies. Can't fool Mother Nature.

Hi, Shirley,
It's been a while and no hear from. I hope all is okay at your end.
I really like this. I wish I still had a sixer to give you. I found your notes interesting as well. Until you wrote it, I hadn't thought about the types of climate change affecting different areas, such as the bats.
Our seasons here are most unpredictable. Excellent job with this one, my friend.
Cheers & Blessings

Hi Jax.
Thanks so much for a lovely review and virtual six. As always I appreciate your feedback.
I aplogise for being behind in reviewing-it's just a "cup overflowing" time of year. I'm fine but just busy with family and business things. Our first grandson is due within the next seven days.
I'm worried for my daughter as it's her first baby and quite big.
I'll be a proud nanna who again soon.

The bold font is difficult to read because the letters are too thick
solid rhyming couplets - love the proximate rhyme of arrive/suprise
lovely descriptive detail and an upbeat tone
good alliteration in wonders why
warning lights for Earth are blinking - my favorite line in your poem of thought-provoking social commentary in this poetic cautionary tale
