Thank you so much for sharing your precious bundle. We need to be careful that people might not steal our bundles that we treasure so dearly. Please keep on writing such poems because this is so lovely. Have a blessed day!

Hi Sankey, what a lovely poem that shows the obvious joy of you becoming an uncle.
I hope your wife doesn't mind you showing it here after all. All the best. Ulla:))

Hi, FS stuffed up second time around. I was already an Uncle from the age of 6. Frankie (the bub) was the third Niece. I was very involved with Frankie and her other cousins John and Kay. Then sort of involved with Frankie's Sister. After that sadly I had very little to do with the nephews and Nieces. I had another Nephew and Niece but not really a lot of involvement with them not my fault.

Hi Geoff, this is a very nice picture and poem of your little niece. She is 2 years younger than me. I like the line about cuddling the precious bundle.

Being an Uncle was I know a highlight in your life, and quite the photo, that I know you must cherish... I became an Aunt when I was 9 yrs old, and though it was an exciting time felt a little left out then as it was a girl too, and it seemed all the attention then was given to my little niece...and was told keep away from the baby, that I so much loved, which made me feel even more left out... And your poem well, it must be hard to be childless, though sometimes it can also be quite the not the way they planned for mothers and fathers and be a sad outcome...,when their children get older and change so much more ways than one, and then after they left the house happy, and their future looked so promising then.

God Bless...Caressa_08

Thanks Sis I was 6 when my first nephew was born he was like a little brother...my sister was only 15, and she recently confessed, now in her 70's it was the wrong thing to do to get pregnant so young. Her first husband, the father of that nephew recently died of pancreatic cancer, I think, aged 77 pretty sure.

Oh how cute. I don't know why she wouldn't want it posted. I post things here I would never post in public, mainly becuse I know the people in the park I live in don't belong to Fanstory, I hope. LOL. Thanks for sharing your lovely poem

I guess Charly Lucas might have been right when he said poems he has written especially for certain ones he has mostly not published. So I think I get his point. Thanks anyway for coming along. I am trying to fix some music for another song I wrote for work years ago get it up as soon as I can.

Hey, Sankey, you look good with a toupee. This is a very good poem with a very good call to action. When you spread your love around you don't dimish it. You add to it.

New parents are often afraid to let someone else hold their child. I am not sure of the reason, but I understand the confusion over their resistance to you showing love and affection for the child. This is very well written and tells a familiar story. My granddaughter was nearly three years old before she would let me hold her. She was painfully shy and although I desperately wanted to hold her, I just had to wait until she felt comfortable.

Thanks old mate for the lovely review. I have a photo of Louise holding Abi (now around 15 I think and our former pastor's wife behind her dying to get her off my wife! We don't anticipate a cuddle of a bub anymore.

I realize some parents are protective, but that a bit much.

Yeah they weree a strange couple seem to have settled more now. I seem to remember a rumour or?? that the mother got on better with her Mother -in-Law than she did with her own Mother. Will tell you more about this girl and her sister later. Strange.

Geoff, I have written well over two hundred special poems dedicated to individuals; a good portion to nameless. I have been given permission to publish several of them, even a few from her. In my eyes, publishing them takes away the gift. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

When I write a poem for a special someone, it is meant to be read only that person unless they give permission to publish it.

Hi Sankey. Everyone loves babies, that's for sure. Holding one brings joy to the holder. We all fall apart holding them and revert to mushy babbling. I enjoyed seeing the photo of you with your niece. Marilyn

I rarely go onto FB. Too much nonsense. It is a good way to keep in touch with friends, though.
