A worthy contender for the contest. They did rock the universe in the golden era of their awesome music and now as new generations are discovering their magic. Well done.

When I think of the Beatles one of the first things I think is Liverpool. Well done. As soon as I read it, I knew, before, I read what the prompt was.

Thank you so much, Jeffrey! This was a really fun topic to write about and everyone has at least one fond memory of the Beatles. I am so happy that you liked this and always appreciative of the time you take to provide such encouraging support.

It was so sweet of you to send a note of congratulations. You have a great Beatlemania poem. The Beatles did create quite a sensation. I remember one of my cousins saw their concert in Indianapolis, and they were on the Ed Sullivan show. They were lovelies starting out--they looked so fresh and innocent. You're right--they did rock the universe. Excellent use of alliteration with Liverpool lovelies and rhythm and rock. judi

Thank you so much, Judi! They inspired a whole generation and continue to touch people throughout the world with their lovely lyrics and lilting harmonies. I am so happy you think I did them justice and very grateful for the wonderfully uplifting words of encouragement for my simple little scribble.

You're so welcome. The Beatles are so much above most of the so-called entertainers we have today. You did do them justice. judi

Great job with your 5/7/5 poem about Beatlemania. Alliteration of Liverpool lovelies. I like the line "tap into the rhythm of life". And, yes, they did rock the universe. 8-)
I did notice the no proper nouns on the rules. I don't know if they will ding you for Liverpool or not. But I like it, just the same! 8-)

Thank you so much, BG! The contest sponsor clarified in the discussion thread that she meant the names of the guys only could not be used, but it really doesn't matter since I have been trounced regardless. I am happy you enjoyed it and grateful for your ongoing support and encouragement.

Mystic Angel 7777: a good contender for the contest. You have written a 5/7/5 without mentioning the Beattles or any of their songs. And, it is a great sentiment which brought a big smile on my face because they were so in touch with the world around them. Good job! livelylinda

Yes and my personal favorite as a kid was WE ALL LIVE IN A YELLOW SUBMARINE! I don't know what that says about my rhythm of life...but at the time it rocked my universe...and it's so cute hearing preschool kids sing it
God bless....and good luck

Thank you so much, Jenny! The Magical Mystery Tour was my personal mantra for a long time. Today, Hey Jude and Imagine are still two of my all time favorites. I am so happy you liked this and very grateful for the kind encouragement.
