open crevices
tucked tight under white blanket.
a grand winter night
Well deserved win for this beautiful poem. I love the art, love imagery, and can feel the cold.
Well done.

Grand Canyon is my all time favorite park, followed by the Red Woods. I never got to view it on a winter night thought. your poem and picture gave me that opportunity.

I have seen the Grand Canyon, but not in the winter. I'm sure it's just as beautiful as it looks in the picture. Your poem is very descriptive.

Beautiful - both your 5-7-5 and the stunning photo. Nicely done. I cannot imagine being able to view that in person. that would be a gift. Good luck. AT=/

A place I've never been to but have heard great things of its vast essence that travels for miles without any end in sight.
Nice fllow and excellent image to portray it.

Excellent 5 7 5, shelley, and what a fabulous presentation you've managed to pull off to go along with your spectacular poem.
This should be a really strong contender. It is not only well worded, it is uniquely and imaginatively presented.
Best of luck to you in the contest. beautifully done! :)

You have my vote! Visually, your poem and photo are stunning. I love the stark white print against the blue. Winter has its own kind of beauty. Well done, Shelley.

Your poem is in excellent 5/7/5 syllable count
the photo and poem match perfectly
nice alliteration in tucked tight
good tight/night rhyme
vivid descriptive detail with good appeal to senses not limited to the visual

Ah, but seventeen syllables that
paint this majestic picture of
the Grand Canyon with artistic
fervor and grace.
